12. Additional Information for California Residents
This section of the notice provides residents of California with additional information as required under the California Consumer Protection Act (“CCPA”) regarding how Gant collects, uses or discloses their personal data.
12.1 Privacy Rights
In addition to the rights described above, the CCPA provides additional rights for residents of California. This section outlines each of these rights. Please note that these rights are not absolute and certain restrictions will apply. Where we apply a restriction, we will notify you of our reason for doing so. Where you submit a request, we may request information to verify your identity. Any information requested will be solely used to verify your identity.
Right to opt-out of sale or sharing:
You have the right to request that Gant stop selling or sharing your personal information. Where Gant receives an opt-out request, we will not further share or sell your information unless you authorise us to do so.
Right to Non-Discrimination
You have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising any of your rights described in this privacy notice. This means Gant cannot deny good or services, charge you a different price or provide a different level of goods or services just because you exercises your rights.
“Shine the Light”
You have the right to request information about any personal information shared with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes, including the names of the recipients and their addresses.
12.2 Categories of Personal Information Shared or Sold
Where you have consented, we will share your personal data with third party providers such as marketing partners, social media platforms or advertisers for the purposes of behavioural advertising. The disclosure of this data would constitute a “sale” of your personal information as defined under the CCPA. The categories of personal information we share for this purpose include:

12.3 Children
Gant does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 16. If you as a parent or guardian become aware that we have collected your child’s information, please contact customer-service@gant.com or use our contact form here.
12.4 Do Not Track Signals
California law requires Gant to disclose how they response to “Do Not Track” signals from web browsers. Gant does not recognise or respond to any “Do Not Track” signal which your browser might transmit.
